Walton Lake Hike

Walton Lake Trail #809

Distance: 1 mile loop

Difficulty: Easy

Elevation Gain: None

Description:  This trail allows for an easy walk around Walton Lake. The wide gravel trail with a short paved section near the day use area allows one to admire the scenery while not worrying about tripping over anything.  In addition to the deep blue water, there are beautiful wildflowers and birds around the lake.  Try to spot the White Billed Coots playing in the water or the Ospreys soaring above.  This is a great walk to do if one is also going to spend a night at the Walton Lake Campground or simply desires a quick walk on the drive through the area. It is also possible to fish, swim, or kayak in the lake.
